PYDRO is developing a self-powered sensing as a service solution for sustainable water management and has now convinced with its application for European innovation funding.

The EIC Accelerator is a cornerstone of the EU funding program"Horizon Europe" (2021-2027), supported by the European Commission and the European Innovation Council (EIC). The aim of the accelerator is to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), especially start-ups and spin-offs,in the development and scale-up of groundbreaking innovations. The program offers extensive financial support in the form of grants of up to EUR 2.5 million for the development costs of innovations as well as direct investments in the form of equity investments amounting to up to EUR 15 million. In addition, the companies selected by the EIC receive coaching, mentoring, access to investors and companies and many other opportunities to be part of the EIC community.

PYDRO has succeeded in convincing the European Innovation Council of its innovative concept for the digitization of water infrastructure. PYDRO is set to receive a subsidy in the amount of around EUR 2 million and can also acquire an equity investment of EUR 1.5 million. The European Innovation Council Accelerator announced the funding of a total of 99 innovative companies with a total funding volume of EUR 627 million. Further information can be found here.
